Red oak is one of the most popular species for flooring emitting a natural reddish hue. “Northern” red oak is more uniform in color oak coming from other regions. The #2 common grade features a much more open grain pattern which causes a lot more dramatic color variation in the overall appearance of the floor. Red oak takes stain colors exceptionally well.

Grade Description
This grade of red oak contains prominent variations in coloring along with multiple knots and character marks such as wormholes. This is an interesting choice in the red oak traditional series great for an authentic rustic ambiance rustic yet genuinely adding natural warmth to any space.
