Since there are so many topics out related to our industry, I thought it might be fun to throw out a question: “What would you like us to blog about?” Although we are a respected reclaimed lumber / siding / flooring company in Montana, we are just getting started when it comes to blogging.
When it comes to reclaimed lumber products, we’d like to know what topics would help you as a consumer right now, especially when it comes to making decisions. Is it the technical side? Is it more photographs that give you better ideas? Is it blogging about our great team of employees? Is it something completely separate from our industry? As a brand new blogger, I would appreciate knowing what would help you most,
Here is a brief overview of who I am and what I do at Superior Hardwoods of Montana. My name is Scott Holmes and I have been working in the lumber business for about 30 years. I started my career in outside sales in the Puget Sound region selling hardwood lumber and plywood. Today I work remotely from my 20 acre dairy carm north of Spokane, WA. My wife and I, along with my son. purchased this farm in June of 2014, and what we love the most is that it was built in 1893. The farm includes and the original home, the original dairy barn, and hay barn. We decided to try to restore the farm house back to its original starting point, and after an incredible amount of hard work, we are getting close. All of the original fir flooring, 10′ ceilings, and wainscoting have been exposed to original historicity.
I have attached a photo to show you our project and the beautiful surrounding area. Thank you for visiting our blog. Let us know your thoughts!
